Ultradent Ultrapak knitted retraction cord

Original knitted cord for fast tissue retraction and detailed margins for quality impressions. Easy to place and stays in place better than twisted or braided cords. After placement it compresses, then expands for optimum retraction. Does not catch on diamond burs. Bright colors aid recognition and removal.

Made of 100% cotton knitted into thousands of tiny interlocking loops that form long chains. After placement the loops try to open, creating a gentle, continuous outward force. Optimum tissue retraction occurs in 1–3 minutes.

Also usable to deliver ferric sulfate solutions subgingivally for sulcus fluid control. Designed to improve tissue management techniques that use ViscoStat or Astringedent hemostatics. Plain knitted Ultrapak cords carry much more hemostatic solution than classic cords, improving conventional techniques that use alum, aluminum chloride, etc.
