UltraCal XS calcium hydroxide paste is a uniquely formulated paste that is both aqueous and radiopaque, with a high pH (12.5).
Use of the large 29 ga NaviTip is recommended for predictable flow that enables direct placement.
UltraCal XS paste can be completely removed from the canal using Ultradent Citric Acid and a NaviTip FX.
A two-visit protocol with intracanal medication using calcium hydroxide between sessions has been shown to result in a better microbiological status of the root canal system compared with a single-visit protocol.
