Tungsten carbide burs — use recommended speed, pressure, and cooling.
Meisinger tungsten carbide burs in packs of 5. Excess speed or insufficient cooling can harm soft tissue. Recommended working pressure is typically 0.3–2 N; excess pressure impairs preparation and raises fracture risk. Burs longer than 19 mm with diameter over 1.8 mm need external cooling.
Usage notes
- Follow recommended speeds for optimal performance
- Excess speed can deform large-head burs and raise fracture risk
- Avoid unnecessary pressure during preparation
- Minimize contact time to extend bur life
- At 1500 rpm, minimum cooling water is 50 ml/min
- Protective eyewear is recommended depending on the procedure
- Do not store burs in a way that deforms them; discard dull, damaged, bent, or off-axis burs
