Intuitive shade system
Dentin shade recreates natural dentin; Enamel shade recreates natural enamel. Three translucency options mimic light play in the incisal region. Dentin materials have natural opacity; enamel materials are more translucent. Three translucent materials (Trans 20, Trans 30, and Trans Opal) control light reflections.
Creating an opalescent effect
Special Trans Opal material lets you create a realistic opalescent effect in a single step. In reflected light it takes a blue tone; in transmitted light a reddish-orange look — exactly as needed for natural-looking results. Available as flowable (IPS Empress Direct Effect) and sculptable composite (IPS Empress Direct).
