IPS e.max Press LT 5 pcs — Lithium Disilicate
IPS e.max Press is a clinically proven lithium disilicate (LS2) glass ceramic used in the pressing technique. The material is offered in five different translucency levels plus an Impulse version. In particular, polychromatic IPS e.max Press Multi ingots stand out aesthetically thanks to a natural shade transition. The ingot to choose is determined by the case and processing technique (staining, cut-back, or layering). Layering and characterization of restorations are done with IPS e.max Ceram layering ceramic or IPS Ivocolor stains, so natural results are obtained without depending on the prepared tooth shade.
Proven cementation options
Different cementation materials suitable for a wide indication range can be used for IPS e.max Press restorations. For crowns and bridges, self-adhesive (self-adhesive resin) or conventional cementation methods (e.g. Speedcem Plus) are suitable. For inlays, thin veneers, and minimally invasive crowns, adhesive techniques (e.g. Variolink Esthetic) are preferred.
IPS e.max Press ingot options
IPS e.max Press Multi: Offered in Bleach and A–D shades. Natural shade transition from dentin to incisal distinguishes aesthetic monolithic restorations. Veneers, anterior and posterior crowns, and hybrid abutment crowns can be prepared quickly and efficiently. Excellent results with glazing; staining or cut-back modifications possible.
IPS e.max Press HT (High Translucency): 16 A–D and 4 Bleach BL shades. Ideal for small restorations (e.g. inlays) thanks to high translucency. Natural-looking “chameleon effect” helps restorations blend with natural tooth tissue. Can be customized with staining.
IPS e.max Press MT (Medium Translucency): A1, A2, A3, B1, BL2, BL3, and BL4. Medium translucency for cases needing more brightness than HT and more translucency than LT. Excellent for staining and cut-back.
IPS e.max Press LT (Low Translucency): 16 A–D and 4 Bleach BL shades. Ideal for large restorations (e.g. posterior crowns) thanks to low translucency. Shows brightness and chroma like natural dentin and helps prevent greying. Cut-back maximizes aesthetics.
IPS e.max Press MO (Medium Opacity): MO 0, MO 1, MO 2, MO 3, and MO 4. Opacity makes them an excellent framework for restorations on vital or slightly discolored teeth. Ideal base for restorations finished with layering.
IPS e.max Press HO (High Opacity): HO 0, HO 1, and HO 2. Excellent masking for frameworks on heavily discolored teeth or titanium abutments. Anatomical shaping with IPS e.max Ceram.
IPS e.max Press Impulse: Two brightness levels (Opal 1, Opal 2). Outstanding opalescent glow; excellent for light-colored teeth where brightness is desired.
