Fatigue-resistant Class II correction appliance that works inside the mouth without headgear or bulky lab-made devices.
Orthodontic treatment aims not only to straighten teeth but also to improve the bite.
The Forsus appliance is designed to correct Class II bite problems in which the lower teeth sit further behind the upper teeth.
In the past, Class II correction often meant wearing headgear for several hours a day or using elastics consistently for many months. Other intraoral appliances existed but were bulky and required outside laboratory fabrication after impressions.
3M Unitek developed the Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device to address this specific treatment need.
