The WaveOne™ canal file has a geometry specially designed so the user can benefit fully from the reciprocal motion of the WaveOne™ motor. Together with special Dentsply M-Wire™ nickel-titanium technology, this geometry is the main reason for the superior performance of the WaveOne™ canal file compared with most NiTi canal files on the market.

The medium-size WaveOne™ canal file is designed to fully shape most canals. However, if a size 10 K-File meets resistance to advancement, the small size is appropriate. If a size 20 K-File advances easily in the canal, the large WaveOne™ size is appropriate.

Usually a single WaveOne™ canal file is sufficient to fully shape the root canal.
