Pharmacodynamic Properties
Alveogyl is an antiseptic and analgesic paste used in the local treatment of dry sockets (tooth sockets).
The butamben component provides anesthetic activity that continues even several hours after the paste is placed in the socket.
The iodoform content has an effective antimicrobial activity.
The analgesic effect provided by the eugenol composition has a soothing effect on the alveolar tissues and helps their normal healing process.
When placed inside the socket, Alveogyl easily adheres to tooth holes due to its fibrous structure.
With the help of the patient's tongue movements, the dressing gradually heals by itself without intervention from either the patient or the doctor.
The application of Alveogyl is extremely easy and requires no special care other than being monitored by the doctor during the healing process.
