RELAX mouth mirrors are made of high-quality glass-fibre-reinforced plastic, autoclavable up to 134 °C, and acid-resistant to all acids used in preparing dental instruments. Suitable for thermodisinfectors. FS Rhodium or FS ULTRA front-surface coating for a fully sharp mirror image; available in seven colour options.

The RELAX design provides a flush transition between mirror and frame — a decisive hygiene advantage. One-piece construction eliminates the need to dismantle for cleaning (per Robert Koch Institute KRINKO recommendations). Popular in paediatric dentistry: coloured instruments reduce treatment anxiety. Soft, rounded lines and a warmer feel than stainless steel. At least 65% lighter than a stainless-steel mouth mirror and handle.

Service life

Developed with tests beyond EN ISO 9873 (200 cycles vs 100 predicted). External clinical tests at ZZMK Carolinum in Frankfurt completed successfully after more than 200 preparation cycles. Approx. ten years of experience show several years of use with high colour and form stability. Market observations since 2015 launch confirm these properties.
