Diamond grains are color-coded in the polymer: brown 60 µm, red 40 µm, yellow 15 µm.

Commonly used preparation shapes are covered with a polymer/diamond mixture, keeping the same form. The metal core under the polymer is coated with the same diamond grit as the polymer polisher.

Finishing preparation margins is essential and preparatory for the next treatment steps. Removing enamel prisms and wave structure created by rotating instruments helps improve and prolong intact restorations.
